What are BNI Bucks?
BNI Bucks are an important measurement of the effectiveness of your membership in BNI.
When a member closes some business as a result of a BNI referral, the gross revenue is counted as “BNI Bucks” by the member who received a referral.
Example: The residential realtor in your BNI chapter learns that the owners of the house she has just listed for them is going to need some plumbing repairs before selling the house.
The realtor refers the chapter’s plumber to the homeowner, and as a result of the referral, the plumber books $1500 in business. At the next BNI meeting, the plumber fills out a BNI Bucks slip for $1500.
BNI Bucks are not profit dollars, but gross revenue.
Another Example: A realtor sells a house as a result of a BNI referral and the sale results in a $7000 commission. The realtor may only pocket $3500 of that amount, but the referral generated $7000 in total revenue, and the realtor fills out a BNI Bucks slip in the amount of $7000.
